Dr. Rebecca Busuttil

Dr. Rebecca Busuttil is a Senior Compliance Consultant within BDO's Risk Advisory Department. She is a lawyer by profession and holds a warrant to practice law in Malta. Rebecca’s experience to date has given her a practical legal understanding of the AML/CFT Compliance field. She has also provided a variety of services ranging from regulatory compliance, AML, corporate governance and risk advisory, particularly in terms of regulated entities.

Rebecca’s knowledge in AML/CFT and regulatory compliance has allowed her to develop the necessary skillset to implement a robust governance framework. She has also provided a holistic range of risk and compliance advisory services, including external audits.

Education

Rebecca holds a bachelor’s degree with honours in law and a Master of Advocacy degree from the University of Malta. Rebecca is also a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
