Ivan Spiteri

Ivan is the Director of Technology Advisory and Assurance Services at BDO Malta. Ivan has more than 27 years of experience in technology ranging from Third-party Assurance, Regulatory & Compliance, Internal and External IT Audit, IT Governance, ICT risk Assessments, ISO27001, Cyber security, Project Management, Privacy and Data protection (GDPR) advisory and assessments, Data analytics, Information Risk Management and Strategy, Business Continuity Management & Disaster Recovery, System Selection and Implementation and IT management of efficiency improvement. He led multiple IT projects with a successful background in their delivery within set timeframes, budgets and to a high-quality standard.
 
Prior to joining BDO Ivan worked for 11 years at a Big4 within the Technology Risk Advisory service line with experience in delivering and leading IT regulatory, IT Governance, IT Security advisory services, Privacy along with helping clients with solutions in data warehousing, systems integration and implementation.
 
Prior to joining a Big4 firm, he worked for 14 years with a Malta listed entity where he headed the IT Quality Assurance department after working his way up through various IT roles.
