What You’ll Do
  • Prepare, review and submit VAT returns;

  • Preparing and reviewing VAT recap statements;

  • Assisting clients with VAT registrations, de-registrations and ongoing statutory requirements;

  • Assisting with the planning and estimates of the VAT work required and becoming involved in planning for more complex clients;

  • Assisting with advising clients with respect to Maltese VAT implications and VAT developments;

  • Assisting with VAT audits, queries or investigations;

  • Liaising with the Malta Tax and Customs Administration on questions of interpretation;

  • Assisting in due diligence assignments with respect to the VAT matters;

  • Supporting the VAT team to develop new work; and

  • Assisting with the preparation of publications.

     

What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant VAT experience;

  • Masters in Accountancy or fully ACCA-qualified or in the last stage of being fully qualified;

  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team;

  • Be assertive and have an eye for detail;

  • Good communication and organisational skills;

  • Self-motivated and willing to learn;

  • Able to work with strict deadlines;

  • Fluent in English.
