About the Role

We are looking for a creative, highly organised Junior Content & Social Media Specialist to join our marketing team at BDO Malta. 

This role focuses on supporting the creation of high-quality written and visual content, assisting with the management of social media channels, and contributing to brand communications across digital platforms. You will also play an important role in coordinating marketing activities and ensuring consistent, engaging communication across all channels.


This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys writing, storytelling, content creation, and working across multiple marketing functions in a fast-paced professional environment. It offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and gain practical experience within a leading professional services firm.

Key Responsibilities

Content & Brand Communication

  • Create, edit, and proofread engaging written and visual content for social media, newsletters, articles, and marketing campaigns, including short-form digital content and simple video assets where required
  • Support the development of content that communicates business updates in a clear, engaging, and audience-focused manner
  • Ensure consistency in brand tone, messaging, and quality across all materials
  • Assist with the creation of visual content through basic photography, videography, and video editing where required


Social Media Management

  • Assist with planning, scheduling, and publishing content across LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram
  • Support the implementation of social media initiatives aimed at increasing brand awareness and engagement
  • Monitor social media activity and audience interaction, providing insights to help improve content performance


SEO & Website Management

  • Assist with keyword research and SEO activities to support organic traffic growth and search visibility
  • Maintain and update website content using a CMS
  • Ensure all digital content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with brand standards


Marketing Coordination

  • Work closely with the Brand & Marketing Manager and support the Content & Social Media Specialist in the delivery of campaigns and broader marketing initiatives
  • Assist with content delivery, timelines, and approvals across teams
  • Support marketing operations, including email communications, event promotion, and campaign coordination


Requirements

  • Strong written communication skills in English with excellent attention to detail

  • Up to 1 year of experience in marketing, communications, social media, content creation, or a related area (internships, university projects, and personal content portfolios will be considered)

  • Familiarity with social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram

  • Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar content creation tools would be considered an asset

  • Basic photography, videography, and/or video editing skills would be considered an asset

  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

  • Creative mindset with an interest in storytelling, content creation, and brand building

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

  • Adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn and develop professionally


Education

  • A degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, or a related field is preferred
  • Strong writing ability and demonstrated communication skills are essential
