About the role

This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across both immigration and personal tax matters, supporting senior team members in client work and day-to-day processes. You will develop a solid foundation with respect to the various immigration and tax programs available, personal tax compliance matters, client communication and tax planning while receiving training and guidance to grow your career. 

 

Responsibilities include
  • Meeting clients and being in continuous communication with them to keep them updated on the application progress and respond to any queries they may have; 
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of the immigration programs; 
  • Liaising and discussing the applications with the responsible agents at the respective authorities; 
  • Assist with residence and work permit applications; 
  • Working with senior team members to meet client timelines; 
  • Support senior staff in preparing immigration-related tax work; 
  • Participate in training sessions and receive on-the-job training from senior team members; 
  • Support with the processing of personal tax related forms such as claims for double tax relief certificates, tax compliance certificates and tax residence certificates; 
  • Support with the preparation of personal tax compliance matters including the preparation and submission of personal tax returns; 
  • Assisting with the preparation and submission of income tax programs; 
  • Liaising with representatives from the local tax authorities and other relevant regulatory bodies. 
  • Support with reviewing of tax statements and tax assessments; 
  • Support with personal tax advisory work; 
  • Contributing to internal and external publications and thought leadership; 
  • The duties of the Employee shall also include other duties which fall within the competence of the Employee which the Employer may assign from time to time.
