About the Role

We are looking for a creative, highly organised Content & Social Media Specialist to join our marketing team at BDO Malta.


This role focuses on creating high-quality written and visual content, managing social media channels, and supporting brand communications across digital platforms. You will also play a key role in coordinating marketing activities and ensuring consistent, engaging communication across all channels.


This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys writing, storytelling, content creation, and working across multiple marketing functions in a fast-paced professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

Content & Brand Communication

  • Create, edit, and proofread engaging written and visual content for social media, newsletters, articles, and marketing campaigns, including short-form digital content and simple video assets where required 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to translate business updates into clear, compelling content 
  • Ensure consistency in brand tone, messaging, and quality across all materials 
  • Support the creation of visual content through basic photography, videography, and video editing where required


Social Media Management

  • Plan, schedule, and manage content across LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram 
  • Implement and support the social media strategy to increase brand awareness and engagement 
  • Monitor performance and audience interaction to improve content effectiveness


SEO & Website Management

  • Conduct keyword research and support SEO optimisation to improve organic traffic and search visibility 
  • Maintain and update website content using a CMS 
  • Ensure all digital content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with brand standards


Marketing Coordination

  • Work closely with the Brand & Marketing Manager to support campaigns and broader marketing initiatives 
  • Coordinate content delivery, timelines, and approvals across teams 
  • Support marketing operations, including email communication and campaign coordination


Requirements

  • Strong written communication skills in English with excellent attention to detail 
  • 2–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, social media, or content creation 
  • Basic photography, videography, and/or video editing skills would be considered an asset 
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks 
  • Creative mindset with an interest in storytelling and brand building 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment 
  • Adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn 


Education

  • A degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred 
  • Strong writing ability and demonstrated communication skills are essential
