We are currently searching for a motivated and talented professional Brand & Digital Marketing Manager to join our growing team.


Overview

The Brand & Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the development and execution of BDO Malta’s marketing, branding, content and communications strategy. The role supports the firm’s growth objectives through strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and the effective management of all internal and external marketing initiatives.


Duties & Responsibilities

Strategy, Planning & Leadership
  • Develop and implement a marketing and public relations strategy, including annual campaign plans aligned with the firm’s business objectives.
  • Prepare and manage marketing budgets to support effective and measurable digital and offline campaigns.
  • Provide leadership and direction to other members of the marketing team, ensuring strategic alignment, clarity of execution, and professional development.
  • Analyse data and insights from marketing initiatives to inform decisions, optimise performance, and support strategic reporting to senior leadership.
  • Build and maintain a strong working relationship with the BDO Global Marketing & BD team and activate relevant global initiatives locally.


Brand, Content & Communications
  • Act as Brand Guardian and take full ownership of BDO Malta’s brand identity and communications across all online and offline channels.
  • Manage all media assets in line with industry best practices and brand guidelines.
  • Oversee all content published on the BDO Malta website, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and relevance.
  • Ensure compliance with BDO brand guidelines, supporting internal teams with brand implementation and messaging alignment.


Content Marketing
  • Develop and manage a content marketing plan that supports thought leadership, visibility, and client engagement objectives.
  • Work with internal subject matter experts to identify relevant topics and translate these into engaging content formats (e.g. articles, newsletters, social media, video scripts, brochures).
  • Ensure content is tailored for specific audiences, platforms, and channels to maximise relevance and impact.
  • Oversee the editorial calendar and review all published materials for tone, style, clarity, and alignment with brand messaging.
  • Support the development of campaign-specific content to feed lead generation, employer branding, and PR efforts.


Digital Marketing & Campaign Execution
  • Define and execute targeted digital advertising campaigns, including Pay-per-click (PPC), display, and remarketing.
  • Design and implement an SEO strategy that aligns with evolving search trends, including AI-powered search engines and generative AI results, to maximise the firm’s visibility and authority online.
  • Monitor and measure campaign activity, performance metrics, lead generation results, and search engine ranking, reporting regularly to leadership.
  • Manage and update the firm’s email marketing database in adherence with GDPR best practices.
  • Design and implement lead generation campaigns in collaboration with the Business Development team.
  • Assist in defining messaging and content strategies tailored to segmented audiences.


Internal Collaboration & Employer Branding
  • Work closely with the HR team to develop and strengthen the firm’s employer branding proposition.
  • Collaborate with internal departments on strategic projects requiring marketing and communications input.
  • Understand the firm’s service areas and commercial priorities to help define custom audience segments and targeted messaging.


Events, PR & External Partnerships
  • Plan, budget for, and coordinate the firm’s participation in major industry events and conferences.
  • Seek and manage public relations opportunities across online and offline media channels.
  • Build and manage collaborative relationships with external marketing agencies, freelancers, event organisers, and suppliers involved in marketing activities.


Requirements
  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Commerce, Visual Arts or related fields
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role with preference given to candidates having a proven track record in financial and professional services environment
  • Preference given to applicants holding certifications in management of digital channels, such as LinkedIn and Google
  • Candidates must be able to commence work immediately
