BDO Malta Retains Gold Level Learning Partnership from the ACCA

21 May 2019

BDO Malta is proud to have retained the prestigious Gold Level approval from the ACCA Accreditation team for another 12 months.

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants is the world’s leading accountancy body and the awarder of the Chartered Certified Accountant qualification. Founded in 1904, the ACCA has a network of over 104 offices in 52 countries, working with 323 Approved Learning Partners, as well as a network of over 7,300 Approved Employers who provide employee development.

As a Gold Learning Partner, BDO Malta can provide tuition for ACCA Qualification or Foundations in Accountancy. In order to retain the Gold status, BDO needs to demonstrate student pass rates that are deemed appropriate for this level of approval.

The Gold Level gives formal recognition to learning providers for their quality tuition as well as the support they offer to their students. It also allows ACCA to develop and enhance a mutually beneficial relationship, thus increasing the worldwide availability of effective course delivery.

In order for the approval to be given to BDO, we had to satisfy a number of other requirements. These include the review of trainees’ exam progress at least every 12 months and providing trainees with opportunities to complete a range of activities that fulfil the ACCA’s performance objectives.

Additionally, BDO Malta had to show that their Practical Experience Supervisors are appropriately qualified to sign off on Performance Objectives as well as reviewing practical experience with ACCA trainees, at least every 12 months.

Another key part of the approval process is employees, trainees, and Practical Experience Supervisors being able to demonstrate their awareness of ethics and professionalism in the workplace.

This is a proud moment for BDO Malta who continually invests in its employees and trainees, as well as striving to meet the most stringent best practice and ethical standards. The ongoing recognition of these efforts and quality of the tuition and training provided, by a world-renowned accreditation body such as ACCA is a big honour.

BDO Malta looks forward to continuing its ACCA journey over the next 12 months and to receiving recognition for the work that both we, and our trainees do.
