In the afternoon Mark (BDO Malta CEO) and Chris (BDO Malta Head of Business Development) took Mr. Farlinger and Mr. Darley to the silent city, Mdina. This city is located in the northern region of Malta and was first inhabited and fortified by the Phoenicians in 700 BC. Mdina also served as the capital city of Malta during medieval times because it offers a great view of the whole island as it sits on Malta’s highest point and away from the sea. This offered great defensive advantages during sieges.
