BDO Malta attends Business Jets and Superyachts conferences

Josef Mercieca and Luke Attard from the firm recently attended a two day conference on Opportunities in Superyachts and Business Jets which was held at the Intercontinental in Malta.
The conferences which were organised by Quaynote were held on two consecutive days and were aimed at exploring opportunities in the two industries. They provided the international and local delegates with a perfect opportunity for business development and networking with key industry contacts.
Now an established event on the business aviation calendar, Opportunities in Business Jets offered international delegates the perfect occasion for networking with key industry contacts. With a strong emphasis on panel discussions, attendees enjoyed the opportunity to interact and debate major issues with senior speakers and panellists.
The conference was chaired by Richard Koe, Managing Director, WINGX Advance and focused on:

The second conference which tackled the Superyacht industry focused on key issues of concern to Superyacht business leaders; finance, regulation, safety, security, insurance, tax, corporate ownership, brokerage, chartering, marinas, build and design.
Chaired by Andrew Charlier Partner, Global Head of Yachts & Superyachts, at Ince & Co. the conference programme tackled topics such as:

- Toys and tenders: how to make sure that superyachts are the centre of fun and entertainment
- Training and employment in superyachts
- Pleasure Yacht Guidelines
- Registry Update
